Additionally to the description in the BLFS book I used the following extra patch for 32-bit build:
The 64-bit build worked as described in the book, except the paths for the installation, of course.
I ran the test suits for both builds and only 362 (32-bit) and 325 (64-bit) tests passed. However, the libs seem to work fine.
